Need help writing a metaheuristic problem

I would first try the mixed-integer linear programming approach, but if you want a metaheuristic, one possibility is a random key genetic algorithm. Given your minimum and maximum cluster sizes, you ...

Metaheuristics must read articles and new research fields

A significant amount of research (maybe too much?) these days goes into "evolutionary" metaheuristics, an area that I think traces back to the creation of genetic algorithms. You can find a ...

Are Metaheuristics Global Optimizer?

The other answer is correct. From all of the papers I have read on metaheuristics, if they claim that they have found a globally optimum solution, then they are either running it on an known benchmark ...

Improve a heuristic to solve the MS-RCPSP

Check this review. There are several papers referenced that could help you to find a good method to solve it. This is also a good paper to check.

Metaheuristics or Exact algorithms to solve a non-linear multi-objective optimization problem?

Observe that all three objective functions are increasing functions of $X_2.$ For fixed $X_1,$ you want the smallest feasible value of $X_2.$ Constraint 4 is the only one that puts upward pressure on $...
